Job Description

We are looking for a humble, highly analytical and business-savvy Manager of Growth to help challenge the status-quo and transform the way the logistics industry is traditionally ran. As a Manager of Growth, you will be the trusted advisor to top management. On a daily basis, you will be driving multiple cross-functional projects, including aligning on goals, execution and new initiatives needed to drive the company forwards. You will also be the champion of evolving early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives. In playing your role, you will be leading a team of 2-4 people and will be based out of our office in RedQ on a full-time basis.

You will fit perfectly if you are someone who ‘gets bored easily’ and is constantly on the lookout for learning something new - but in a fast-paced environment. Having an entrepreneurial ‘can-do’ attitude and a proven ability to lead and motivate a team of people will make you stand out in this application.

A DAY IN A LIFE

As a start up, you can expect your days to be pretty varied. Multitasking is normal, and sometimes, your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities. That said, the bulk of your working hours should involve you having to:

  • Roll up their sleeves as needed, and never delegate work that one would not be willing to do themselves

  • Do what is needed to get things done, as they believe speed is more important than anything else to effect change

  • Over communicate, particularly as they are all quite autonomous

  • Take care of our staff, and treat them as they would want to be treated

  • Are rigid on goals, but flexible on the details

SKILLS

  • Humble enough to realise that they do not have all the answers, and that learning from others is key to success

  • Excellent problem solving skills, with a focus on delivering implementable solutions and results

  • Willingness to work outside their comfort zone and try new things

  • Fast learner with an ability to work access diverse business topics and analyses

  • Strong ability to prioritize, and work efficiently with the team i.e.: has an 80/20 mindset

  • Able to provide structure and clarity in an often ambiguous “blank paper” situation

  • Able to drive the thinking process independently; knows how to leverage top management as needed

  • Generally curious, with a habit of challenging the status quo (within logical reason)

  • Highly developed oral & written communication skills with an ability to convince and steer an argument

  • Open to travelling across Asia

  • Ability to coach and mentor junior team members

These are skills that are ‘nice-to-have’ and will make you stand-out in the job application:

  • Adaptability to deliver in a high volume, fast-paced and dynamic environment - often under tight deadlines

  • Possess an entrepreneurial ‘can-do’ attitude - even when the subject matter is new and foreign to you

  • Proven ability to influence people at all levels in the organization through strong interpersonal skills

  • Familiarity in tableau, google data studio or other dashboarding softwares

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
