Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Account Executive to join our team at Marsh in Toronto or Montreal.

This role is ideal for an experienced insurance professional with 5–10 years of relevant experience and offers a hybrid work arrangement requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office.

As an Account Executive, you will support and manage accounts brought in by producers, partnering closely to drive new business growth and deliver exceptional client service. You’ll own day-to-day account management activities — including renewals, policy administration, and client communications — while applying strong risk evaluation and financial/loss analysis to develop tailored solutions. Coordination with underwriting, claims, and risk consulting teams is critical, and a key focus of the role is delivering a white-glove onboarding experience for new clients.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $120,000 to $170,000.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.

We are excited to offer a competitive total rewards package which includes health and welfare benefits, tuition assistance, retirement programs as well as employee assistance programs.

We will count on you to:

  • Partner closely with producers to support new business development and manage a growing book of commercial P&C accounts
  • Lead white‑glove onboarding for new clients with proactive communication, detailed implementation plans, and personalized support until onboarding is complete
  • Manage renewals, policy administration, and day‑to‑day client communications to maintain satisfaction and retention
  • Evaluate client risk by analyzing loss experience, cash flow, and financial data to recommend tailored insurance solutions
  • Prepare and present competitive proposals aligned with client needs and Marsh’s product offerings
  • Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and risk consulting teams to ensure seamless service delivery and comprehensive risk management
  • Maintain accurate client and sales data in CRM systems to support reporting and business growth objectives
  • Monitor market trends and regulatory changes in Ontario’s commercial insurance landscape and advise clients accordingly
  • Identify and pursue cross‑sell and up‑sell opportunities within existing accounts to support growth targets

What you need to have:

  • 5–10 years of experience in Property & Casualty insurance or risk management, with experience in the Ontario market
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English, as the position requires regular interaction with clients and other third parties outside of Quebec, as well as collaboration with colleagues outside of Canada
  • Active Ontario Property & Casualty license or willingness to obtain
  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional client service and manage complex client relationships
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial statements, loss data, and other risk indicators
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office (strong Excel and PowerPoint skills)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

What makes you stand out?

  • Experience managing multi‑line commercial insurance accounts and supporting complex client needs
  • Demonstrated success in sales support roles or contributing to business growth and client retention
  • Professional designations such as CIP, CRM, or equivalent advanced insurance/risk qualifications
  • Proactive, resourceful, highly organized, and a strong problem‑solver
  • Comfortable working collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment and adapting to changing priorities

Why join our team:

  • We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders.
  • We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have an impact on colleagues, clients, and communities.
  • Our scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities, as well as benefits and rewards to enhance your well-being
