As the Stress Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Stress Analysis:

  • Perform detailed stress analysis on aircraft cabin interior components using FEA tools such as NASTRAN, ANSYS, and ABAQUS.
  • Develop, refine, and validate FEA models to simulate structural behavior under various conditions, including static, dynamic, and fatigue loads.
  • Analyze FEA results to identify potential structural weaknesses, failure points, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare comprehensive stress reports and documentation to support design validation and certification processes.

Aircraft Cabin Interior Analysis:

  • Focus on stress analysis of aircraft cabin interior components, including galleys, lavatories, overhead bins, seating, partitions, and other structures.
  • Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure accurate reflection of stress analysis inputs in final product designs.
  • Validate FEA results through hand calculations and empirical methods as needed.
  • Contribute to design reviews with technical guidance and recommendations to optimize structural performance and compliance.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure designs meet regulatory standards, including FAA FAR Part 25 and EASA CS-25.
  • Prepare and review stress reports and certification documents for submission to regulatory authorities.
  • Keep abreast of industry standards and regulatory changes to ensure stress analysis practices and documentation comply with current requirements.

Project Management:

  • Oversee stress analysis projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery of results.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to align on project objectives and timelines.
  • Provide regular updates and status reports on stress analysis activities to project teams and management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Proven experience in performing stress analysis using FEA tools such as NASTRAN, ANSYS, and ABAQUS.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft structural analysis, materials, and failure mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as FAA FAR Part 25 and EASA CS-25.
  • Leadership experience is preferred.

Salary Range: $130,000 - $150,000

The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
