As a Distribution Center Operations Supervisor at CVS Health, you will lead a team of non-exempt colleagues in our Knoxville, TN distribution facility. In this on-site, second-shift role, you will manage daily warehouse operations—including planning, organizing, directing, and controlling workflow—to achieve performance targets and service standards.
You will oversee order selection, replenishment, loading, and shipping activities while ensuring productivity, accuracy, safety, and strong team performance. This role requires flexibility, particularly during peak business periods.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Second Shift starting at 3:00 PM EST, with flexibility required, including the potential to work Saturdays or extended hours during peak season.
Primary Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Development
Recruit, hire, onboard, and train new team members
Schedule and assign work to ensure adequate staffing and workflow coverage
Provide coaching, training, and retraining to drive development and performance
Conduct staff meetings and ensure accurate, timely operational reporting
Foster a collaborative, supportive work culture grounded in CVS Health values
Administer policies and procedures fairly and consistently across the team
Operational Execution
Lead daily operations in order selection, replenishment, loading, and shipping
Ensure colleagues have all equipment, materials, and documentation needed for success
Monitor workflow and adjust staffing based on volume and workload needs
Balance workloads using real-time data to ensure timely completion of all tasks
Utilize system reports and tools to forecast workload and resolve issues proactively
Champion safety and quality while maintaining a compliant work environment
Performance Management
Monitor and evaluate employee performance for productivity, accuracy, and quality
Provide timely coaching and corrective action as needed
Engage colleagues and promote a high-performance team culture
Continuous Improvement & Collaboration
Apply Lean/Six Sigma concepts to improve efficiency and reduce waste
Partner with cross-functional teams across shifts to solve operational challenges
Analyze data and KPIs to make informed business decisions
Communicate effectively across all organizational levels
Work Environment Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for most of the shift
Flexibility to work overtime or occasional weekend shifts as business needs dictate
Proficiency with warehouse systems, WMS tools, and related computer applications
Ability to complete assignments within established timelines and work under general supervision
Required Qualifications
2+ years of work experience in a Distribution, Manufacturing or Production environment
Leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of leadership experience in distribution, manufacturing, logistics, or warehouse operations
Experience supervising hourly/non-exempt teams in high-volume environments
Hands-on experience with Pick & Pack, order fulfillment, or replenishment
Knowledge of WMS, LMS, RF scanning, and warehouse automation systems
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other business applications
Lean/Six Sigma experience (Green Belt a plus)
Compliance, DEA, or regulatory experience
Ability to analyze data and operational reports to drive performance
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast‑paced operational environment
Education
Verifiable High School Diploma or GED

The typical pay range for this role is:
$43,888.00 - $76,500.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
