Are you an adventurous professional with a consistent track record in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS)? Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. provides an outstanding opportunity for an EHS Specialist III to join our extraordinary team in Seoul, South Korea. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about making significant contributions to our EHS processes and ensuring seamless compliance with local and international standards.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage annual EHS objectives, KPIs, Team-specific safety targets, and monitor overall performance.
Conduct EHS evaluations for EHS supervisors and managers.
Establish and manage contractor safety and health processes.
Lead cross-functional follow-up actions related to EHS improvement, remediation, incident investigation, permit-to-work systems, and regulatory compliance.
Perform operational EHS inspections and compliance assessments to drive continuous improvement.
Lead site EHS improvement programs in alignment with corporate and site leadership expectations.
Maintain required EHS records and documentation, including chemical inventories, permits, licenses, incident records, and safety data sheets.
Provide mandatory safety training and EHS support to employees.
Facilitate monthly safety meetings, quarterly EHS committee meetings, and semiannual management EHS reporting.
Qualifications
Diploma/Degree in Engineering, preferably in an environmental, health sciences, industrial hygiene, or chemical regulatory field.
Experience and Certifications
8+ years of EHS related work experience
Certified Company Safety Manager.
Certified Company Health Manager.
Internal Auditing certification.
Industrial Hygiene or Ergonomics Engineer Certificate (Local certified) is preferred.
Competencies
In-depth understanding of EHS knowledge and practices.
Outstanding facilitation and leadership skills to involve all functions and levels in improving EHS performance.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Outstanding planning and organizational skills for effective and efficient execution of EHS activities.
Solid grasp of business continuity planning and the conduct of exercises.
