Key responsibilities:

• Participates in the entire software development cycle - requirements’ analysis, design and development, unit testing and documentation
• Responsible for long-term code reusability and stability
• Proactively identifies security, usability etc. issues and formulates strategies to resolve them
• Works independently, without guidance, with a broader overview of the project
• Takes ownership of the delivery of complex application features and resolves key technical issues related to the assigned project
• Complies with the estimation process and is responsible for accurate personal estimates
• Develops required software features, achieving timely and quality delivery
• Delivers trainings and participates in knowledge sharing
• Mentors new software engineers in the team
• Integrates new technologies
• Understands and follows the release processes in the company

Job Description

The focus of your activities will be the development of great user experiences and the implementation of multi-channel strategies based on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Adobe Edge Delivery Services (EDS).

We work closely together with our customers and develop tailor-made solutions through supporting in the design phase and then implementing them.

In addition to the development of web applications, working with databases and some interaction with our customers are included in your areas of responsibility. Your range of tasks covers the entire software development process – from analysis through execution. Your customers are large B2B & B2C companies or organizations with strong web affinity.

Qualifications

• Experience with the AEM framework and the Adobe Experience Cloud

• University or college degree in computer science or business computer science is a plus

• Very good knowledge of current web technologies (Java/J2EE) as well as experience with standard software frameworks (Spring)

• Experience with AEM technologies (e.g. Apache Sling, Sling models, HTL/Sightly)

• Expertise in software architecture and technical design

• Knowledge in the areas of SQL or Apache Jackrabbit Oak, Web Services (SOA), XML, XSL, JavaScript, HTML, AJAX

• Experience within development environments such as Eclipse or IntelliJ

• Experience with Adobe Edge Delivery Services (EDS), including:

  • Content Fragments and their integration

  • GraphQL API usage and optimization

  • Understanding of EDS architecture across various content sources

  • Multi-site management capabilities within EDS

• Knowledge of CDN strategies and EdgeWorkers

• Good understanding of SEO best practices in the context of EDS and AEM

• Strong personal initiative and willingness to learn

• Fun working in an interdisciplinary team

• Tolerant, open and ability to discuss controverse problems

• Very good English skills

• German language is a plus
