The Valet Services Trainer orients and trains Valet Services team members on appropriate behaviors, procedures, and practices to be successful on the job and to ensure a positive experience for Valet parking patrons.
The Valet Services Trainer provides daily operational support to include supervision of staff, working with vendors to maintain all equipment and work spaces in top condition, and managing claims initiated by customers.
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire:
Valid Virginia Driver’s License with positive points on DMV record.

Must maintain valid Virginia Driver’s License with positive points on DMV record.
Experience REQUIRED:
One year of experience working in assisted parking environment.
One year of experience orienting, training and supervising team members to produce and sustain positive results.
Able to drive vehicles with manual and automatic transmissions.
Experience PREFERRED
Two years of experience working with an assisted parking operation
Education/training REQUIRED:
High School diploma or equivalent
Certificate from a DMV-accredited driving improvement and training program.
Education/training PREFERRED:
College-level classes in education, training, business, or related coursework
Independent action(s) required:
Provides positive Valet experiences for customers by modelling high quality customer service.
Ensures all claims relating to damage and loss of personal property are documented and reported appropriately and according to policy by responding to accidents and/or incidents that occur with team members.
Interacts positively with customers to provide service recovery when breakdowns in service have occurred.
Supervisory responsibilities (if applicable):
Indirectly supervises Valet staff by observing the quality of work performed to ensure that all tasks are performed in accordance with departmental standards and provides constructive feedback to employees and management as appropriate.
Additional position requirements:
Conforms to VCU Health System Inclement Weather Policy as an essential employee.
This requires working during inclement weather on day and evening rotations as needed.
