Endpoint Deployment Engineer (SCCM/Intune)

 

Description:
Endpoint Deployment Engineer primary responsibility includes software deployment, software imaging, and patch and update management for operating systems and applications on all end user endpoints. This position will manage on-premises and cloud-based patching and deployment systems using SCCM, Intune, PowerShell, and other native Microsoft technologies. This role will also provide support and administration of SCCM and Intune infrastructure. This role will be responsible for providing deployment, configuration, and support of end points in an enterprise environment.

 

Responsibilities:

·       Manage software distribution including Microsoft Security upgrades and endpoint software deployments

·       Prioritize and coordinate security patch and software testing schedules and distributions

·       Create packages, collections, and device images for distributions

·       Setup, maintain, and support software center for end user self-install

·       Create custom reports and dashboards for use in planning corporate hardware and software requirements

·       Work with corporate security to identify and remediate areas of endpoint risks

·       Provide support for the SCCM and Intune infrastructure and standard desktop software

·       Work with the business and across IT teams to assess needs, identify key challenges, and define project scope and deliverables for software application deliveries

·       Investigate and solve issues with configuration management clients on endpoints; SCCM and Intune.

·       Troubleshoot and correct SCCM and Intune client and distribution point errors

·       Troubleshoot failed SCCM and Intune deployments and health issues

·       Administer the SCCM and Intune tool sets to keep the system running and healthy, including changes to the core components and settings, software delivery, client heath, reporting, boundaries, and bandwidth settings

 

Qualifications:

·       Minimum 5 years’ experience in each of the following areas:

o   SCCM and Intune management and administration

o   Application packaging and deployment

o   Patch and vulnerability management

o   Windows operating systems (Workstation and Server)

o   Active Directory and Azure Active Directory

o   Networking technologies (IP, DNS, LAN, WAN, etc.)

·       Strong communications, problem solving, and technical writing skills

·       Excellent customer service and support skills

·       Strong time and task management skills

·       Must be able to work both independently and within a team

·       College degree or relevant experience required

Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company’s performance.
