eBay, Inc. seeks Software Engineer 3 in San Jose, CA

Job Duties: Maintain eBay’s big data platform and domain data. Ensure that eBay's big data platform, including servers, databases, and software, is operating correctly, and running efficiently. Develop ETL pipelines for processing large volumes of data. Design and develop processes that extract data from various sources, transforming the data to make it usable for analysis, and loading the data into a data warehouse. Design and Develop Near-Real-Time data pipeline. Design and develop processes to extract, transform, and load data, but with a focus on speed and timeliness. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business value through data platform and domain data. Identify and diagnose data processing issues and bugs and work with internal or external teams to solve these problems. 

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field plus one year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

 Special Skill Requirements:

1.    Experience with big data processing frameworks including Hadoop, Spark, and Flink, and understanding of distributed computing concepts (1 year).
2.    Knowledge of database technologies including SQL and NoSQL, and experience with database design and optimization, including MongoDB, ClickHouse, ElasticSearch and Redis (1 year).
3.    Experience with designing and developing large-scale software applications using Object-Oriented Design and Java (1 year).
4.    Experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot, including developing RESTful APIs, implementing security features, and integrating with other Spring modules (1 year).
5.    Experience with genAI and other AI technologies including PyTorch, TensorFlow and LangChain, and understanding of machine learning concepts and algorithms (1 year).
6.    Strong understanding of software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum, and experience with software development tools such as Git, JIRA, or Jenkins (1 year).
7.    Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure and understanding of cloud architecture and deployment models (1 year).
 

Base salary: $157,000.00-205,700.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
