Job Overview

As a key member of the Business and Client Technologies team at Arrowstreet Capital, we're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Systems Analyst to join our dynamic group. Our mission is to craft innovative technology solutions that streamline operations and enhance performance for our Marketing & Reporting, Funds, Finance, Client Management, and HR teams.

This position will collaborate closely with our Finance business partners to deliver expert guidance and support for vendor platforms, encompassing requirement gathering, application enhancements, upgrades, testing, and training. Your primary objective will be to ensure the reliable operation of these platforms, driving operational excellence and minimizing disruptions.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. To excel in this role, you should possess an understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) principles and best practices, enabling you to elevate the Finance team's technological capabilities, business processes, and data maturity. You'll play a pivotal role in defining requirements, assisting with testing and validation for deployments, and analyzing data to uncover insights and opportunities for automation.

Responsibilities

  • Providing functional and technical support for vendor platforms, such as Microsoft's Great Plains, Coupa, and other finance-related automation projects

  • Defining requirements, conducting testing, and validating deployments for new applications or updates

  • Analyzing data to extract valuable insights, inform strategic decisions, and identify areas for automation

  • Contributing to the transition to a new Cloud ERP Solution, migrating away from Microsoft's Great Plains

  • Assisting in the development of business cases, ROI assessments, and cost-benefit analyses for proposed solutions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Computer Science, with relevant programming and subject matter expertise

  • Minimum 3 years of practical ERP experience, including implementation, support, and optimization of related system capabilities

  • Proven experience in working with finance-related automation tools and technologies

  • Proficiency in Microsoft SQL and familiarity with Great Plains, Dynamics 365 Business Central, or similar ERP solutions

  • Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and iterative development approaches

  • Data validation, data modeling, and visualization/dashboard creation skills

  • Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information with discretion

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to build effective working relationships with team members and internal stakeholders

In addition, the following are a plus:

  • Experience with cloud-based infrastructure (AWS/Azure), Power BI, and GP-integrated suppliers (eOne & Jet)

  • Hands-on experience creating, documenting, and managing functional and technical business requirements

  • Self-motivated and able to prioritize tasks, manage project status, and work independently or in a team environment

  • Familiarity with accounting principles, Finance business objectives, and data/technology best practices

  • Ability to multitask competing priorities and deliver high-quality work

  • Experience administering the Coupa platform or related payables management software (highly valued but not required)

We maintain a friendly, team-oriented environment and place a high value on professionalism, attitude and initiative.
