Position Summary
To lead the strategic management, positioning, and execution of FMC’s rice herbicide portfolio. This includes developing brand plans, driving adoption of Dodhylex® technology—a groundbreaking innovation and the first new mode of action chemistry in rice herbicides in over three decades—while ensuring overall portfolio growth, brand equity, and alignment with FMC’s global strategy.

The Role (daily responsibilities)
Strategic Planning & Brand Plan Development
< >Develop comprehensive annual brand plans for the rice herbicide portfolio, integrating market insights, competitive analysis, and growth opportunities. Define brand positioning and value propositions to highlight the significance of Dodhylex® technology and FMC’s leadership in rice crop protection. Align brand plans with regional and global priorities, ensuring consistency and impact. Portfolio Management
< >Manage product lifecycle, pricing strategy, and portfolio profitability.Drive successful launches of Dodhylex® innovations and ensure effective market introduction.Marketing Execution
< >Design and execute integrated marketing campaigns across digital, dealer, and farmer touchpoints. Develop communication materials that simplify technical benefits into farmer-centric messaging.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
< >Partner with sales, regulatory, supply chain, and R&D teams to ensure product availability and compliance. Provide training and support to sales teams for effective dealer and farmer engagement.
Performance Monitoring
< >Track brand performance metrics including sales, market share, and profitability. Conduct market research and crop impact analysis to identify opportunities and risks. Provide regular updates and insights to leadership for decision-making.
Stakeholder Engagement
< >Strengthen relationships with dealers, distributors, and farmer communities. Represent FMC at industry forums, exhibitions, and farmer meetings to enhance brand visibility.
The Candidate (requirements)
< >B.Sc / M.Sc – Agriculture/Horticulture. MBA/PGDM in Marketing, Agribusiness, or related discipline. 6–10 years of experience in brand management, preferably in agrochemicals or crop protection. Strong knowledge of herbicide technologies, rice agronomy, and agricultural value chains.
< >Strategic thinking and market foresight. Strong leadership and collaboration skills. Ability to simplify complex data into actionable insights. Effective communication and stakeholder management. Results-driven, agile, and culturally sensitive.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
< >Sales Growth: Achieve annual sales targets for the rice herbicide portfolio (volume and value). Market Share: Increase market share in rice herbicides by [X%] year-on-year. Profitability: Deliver portfolio profitability in line with business objectives. Dealer Engagement: Expand dealer participation in brand programs by [X%]. Farmer Adoption: Drive growth in treated acres and farmer adoption of Dodhylex® technology. Campaign Effectiveness: Measure ROI and impact of marketing campaigns (reach, engagement, conversion). Cross-Functional Delivery: Ensure timely execution of launches and supply chain readiness. Brand Plan Execution: Deliver against milestones and objectives outlined in annual brand plans.

The Brand Manager – Rice Herbicides will play a pivotal role in establishing FMC’s leadership in rice crop protection. By developing robust brand plans, driving adoption of Dodhylex® technology—the first new mode of action chemistry in rice herbicides in three decades—and strengthening the overall portfolio, the role will empower farmers, maximize yields, and advance sustainable agricultural growth.
