The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for achieving significant long-term sales growth and customer satisfaction along with managing the overall customer relationship with the assigned product responsibilities within our customers.

In this role you will work as a primary contact for the assigned product portfolio, including engineering, purchasing, quality, manufacturing, and other areas. You will coordinate involvement of other team members as needed. Responsible for all business development and sales at assigned product portfolio and achieving significant sales and profit growth to meet or exceed goals set by the Sales Manager while achieving superior supplier ratings.

General Responsibilities
• Leads the direct sales process and achieving sales targets
• Responsible for visits to current and potential clients
• Leads the performing of routine account management activities
• Submits short and long-range sales plans and prepares sales strategies utilizing available marketing programs to reach nominated targets
• Ensures that clients receive high quality customer service

Experience / Qualifications
• A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
• Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
• Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
• Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
• Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
• Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Several years of experience in sales with customer relation, preferably as Key Account Manager.
  • Proven track record of success in an Account Manager role.
  • Very high communication and social skills.  Fluent in both German and English.
  • Thorough technical understanding and interest in new technologies and markets.
  • Technical knowledge of high voltage and charging components ideally in the automotive/vehicle industry is a strong plus.
  • Willingness to travel national and internationally and flexibility to adjust some communication to different time zones.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for the support and further development of key accounts, with HQ based in Germany, which are among industry leading businesses.
  • Ensuring smooth commercial and logistical processes for deliveries to our customers.
  • Supporting customer-specific developments and an active shaping of technology-oriented cooperations with the customer.
  • Main interface between the customer and our internal development, application, service, and order processing departments.
  • Fulfilling customer’s needs by understanding application, demand, competition and by organizing internal and local resources to provide the best solution to the customer.
  • Establishing and maintaining a personal network with key decision makers in customer’s organization.
