Summary
The HR Compliance & Controls team is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a HR Compliance Advisor. We are looking for a self-driven individual who has a high attention to detail and will enjoy influencing change within the organization.
Job Responsibilities
Conduct regular and ad-hoc audits of HR processes, policies, and practices.
Review employee records, documentation, and HR systems to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
Assess the effectiveness of HR internal controls and recommend improvements.
Stay current with changes in labor laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
Monitor the organization’s adherence to employment laws and regulations, including but not limited to FLSA, FMLA, EEO, ADA, and OSHA.
Prepare detailed audit reports with findings and actionable recommendations.
Communicate audit results to HR leadership and other relevant stakeholders.
Provide training and support to HR staff and management on compliance-related topics.
Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
Risk Management:
Identify potential compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Collaborate with the legal department and other relevant departments to address compliance issues.
Support the implementation of corrective actions to resolve compliance deficiencies.
Investigations:
Conduct investigations into alleged compliance violations and recommend appropriate actions.
Work with HR and legal teams to handle compliance-related complaints and grievances.

Propose and implement improvements to HR compliance audit processes and methodologies.
Participate in HR projects and initiatives to enhance overall HR compliance.
Candidate qualifications and skills
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) or compliance (e.g., CCEP) preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR, compliance, or auditing. Worker's Compensation experience preferred. Experience in a regulated industry is a plus.
Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of HR laws and regulations. Familiarity with HR audit principles and practices.
Skills
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Proficiency in using HR information systems (HRIS) and audit software.
Abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and a high level of integrity. Capability to handle confidential information with discretion.
