ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE:

  • Critical Care Registered Nurses, looking for flexible work hours and variety to work between our Intensive Care Unit and Coronary Care Unit

Exciting opportunities currently exist for experienced ICU and CCU Registered Nurses at our Fitzroy Campus.

Our Fitzroy campus is nearing its redevelopment completion this year which will include a new state of the art purpose built ICU department. The surgical specialties include: Cardiothoracic, Thoracic, Gastrointestinal, Neurosurgical and Orthopaedic Surgery.

Our ICU Team comprises ANUM's, CNS's, and dedicated ICU Education Team in addition you will be supported by ICU Consultants and registrars affiliated with St. Vincent's Public Hospital. We take pride in delivering a 'boutique learning environment' for RN's looking to transition into Critical Care Nursing, and ability to deliver an individualised program for staff, with appropriate hurdle requirements and competency standards, providing a clear Segway into Post Graduate Critical Care Nursing programs.

Our CCU is an amazing 31 bed purpose built cardiac ward with 15 coronary care (monitored beds) and 16 step down cardiac beds. To be successful in your role you will have a desire to deliver advanced critical care nursing skills, an enthusiasm for the delivery of excellence in patient care, and the ability to learn and implement skills as they apply to our patient cohort.

ABOUT YOU:

  • You have ICU experience in an acute hospital (minimum 2yrs experience) and have completed a post graduate qualification in critical care nursing (ICU-desireable)
  • You provide high quality patient centred care through your well-developed assessment, clinical reasoning, problem -solving and prioritisation skills
  • You have great communication, interpersonal skills, and work well both independently and within multidisciplinary teams
