To support our continued site expansion, we currently have an opportunity for a Scientist to join our R&D team as part of Sensor Development. This team supports new product development and transfer, on-market product improvement programmes as well as supporting wide ranging investigative activities. You will be involved in development projects with scope ranging between small to large volume manufacturing across laboratory and production environments, as well as early-stage feasibility projects to support continued development of sensor technology. As part of the role there will be regular opportunities to collaborate with various cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Regulatory, Quality, Clinical Affairs and Research & Development organisations in the UK, Ireland and the US.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual who takes initiative and is able to manage a multitude of interrelated activities with varying priorities. In addition to a competitive salary, Abbott offers a highly attractive benefits package which includes a defined-contribution pension scheme, a share ownership scheme, private healthcare, life assurance, and a flexible benefits scheme which you can tailor to your own requirements. Here at Witney, we also like to help our employees live life to the fullest, and therefore we offer a range of optional initiatives for you to get involved in, including onsite allotments, couch to 5k campaigns, bee keeping, yoga and more!
