CACI is looking for an Threat Researcher  to join our exploitation team at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland. This role provides advanced penetration testing skills, basic forensics, and reverse engineering capabilities. The candidate will be performing advanced analysis of target systems to generate an understanding of their function and potential paths for attack. Candidates will develop proof-of-concept exploits for identified vulnerabilities and safely execute those exploits. Candidates will also be programming, performing software reverse engineering and advanced technical attacks such as fault injection.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related discipline
  • 3-5 Years of related experience
  • Ability to obtain a CompTIA Security+ certification within 6-months of hire
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Professional communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Experience writing advanced technical reports
  • Ability to articulate technical concepts and findings to stakeholders.
  • Advanced technical understanding of Cryptography
  • Advanced technical understanding of software/firmware architecture
  • Advanced technical understanding of computer networking
  • Familiarity with different file system structure and functions
  • Understanding of cybersecurity standards such as those provide by NIST and CNSS
  • Experience performing vulnerability assessments
  • Experience with using Linux for exploitation
  • Experience with command-line interfaces
  • Experience with Mobile devices debugging
  • Experience with digital forensics techniques
  • Experience with tools such as Aircrack, Ghidra, Nmap, Burpsuite, Metasploit, SQLMap, PostMan, etc.

These qualifications would be nice to have:

  • Experience with unmanned aircraft systems
  • Experience with embedded systems
  • Experience with Android at a technical level
  • Experience as a Reverse Engineer
  • Experience with ARM architecture
  • Experience with Cryptographic systems and algorithms
  • Experience with Fault Injection and Side Channel Analysis

This position is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately. However, this position is representative of positions within CACI that are consistently available. Individuals who apply may also be considered for other positions at CACI.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$82,100 - 172,400 USD
