Your Impact

You will be a strategic business partner to our global sales teams and a broad set of key business stakeholders and cross-functional leaders across the company to provide point of view and to drive policy governance, robust internal controls, timely and accurate US GAAP accounting and reporting process, and integrate new businesses and operations.   

This senior finance role may serve on Axon international legal entities as board of directors, managers or officers and be a senior finance liaison to the global business and operational teams.

What You’ll Do 

  • Serve as a thought leader for our global teams in business operations, sales strategy development, financial modeling, contract negotiation, and accounting analysis. 
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls and processes to ensure a high-quality US GAAP close and accurate financial reporting, focusing on both operational and financial metrics for international entities. 
  • Lead efforts to streamline and optimize controllership processes, ensuring scalability in a high-growth environment. 
  • Analyze and provide insights on KPIs and productivity metrics to enhance operational performance over time. 
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive data transformation, enabling faster, data-driven decision-making and deeper financial insights. 
  • Lead strategic Controllership M&A integrations, including both process and system integration, and collaborate with supply chain, operations, and other key functional leaders to ensure seamless operational alignment. 
  • Provide support for statutory and tax audits, as well as treasury functions, as needed. 
  • Contribute to ad hoc Controllership projects that arise from the company’s rapid growth, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational efficiency. 

What You’ll Bring 

  • 10+ years of experience in accounting, FP&A, or a related field, with a focus on revenue recognition, contract review (from technical accounting lens), process transformation and data analytics. 
  • BS or equivalent in accounting or finance; Chartered Accountant or CPA required. 
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP, with experience in revenue recognition, though technical depth can be flexible based on other strong qualifications. 
  • Experience in order-to-cash or revenue recognition functions, especially within complex, multi-national publicly traded companies. 
  • Industry experience in connected devices, software, or defense is a plus. 
  • Demonstrated success in leading process transformation and driving operational improvements. 
  • Strong business acumen and executive presence with excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. 
  • Advanced experience in financial modeling to support sales and strategic business initiatives. 
  • Proven track record in supporting global sales organizations across multiple time zones. 
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 
  • Experience with M&A integration, including operational and financial systems. 
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, D365, and Microsoft Power Platform is a plus.
