Job Description:

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated HW Engineer  who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Naples, Italy.

Required Skills/ Knowledge

• Knowledge and experiences with electronic schematic drawing software (e.g. Orcad Capture) and circuit simulation tools (e.g. Spice, Simulink).

• Knowledge of VHDL language.

• Knowledge of power control circuits design (e.g. DC/DC or DC/AC) or digital/analog signal electronic circuitry.

• Experience in using laboratory instruments (e.g. oscilloscope).

• Experience in performing measurements on electronic boards and assembling or soldering on prototypes.

• Knowledge of intrinsically safe circuits and/or safety critical system design up to SIL4 level.

• Knowledge of the basic principles of EMC electromagnetic compatibility and electrical safety.

• Knowledge on networks (e.g. Ethernet) at both physical level (board development) and system level (protocols, system connections).

• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
