Agropur is looking for an AI Specialist to join its St-Hubert team.
The AI Specialist is a key contributor to the organization’s AI strategy, combining deep expertise in data science with hands-on experience in agentic AI systems. This role is responsible for the design, development, and deployment of intelligent solutions leveraging both predictive analytics and autonomous agents to create business value, improve operational efficiency, and drive innovation within the company.

  • Salary scale 004: $ 71 200 to $ 89 000 (Base salary will be determined based on your academic background, experience, training, and skills related to the position).

 

What this role involves:

More specifically, the responsibilities include:

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret complex data from diverse sources to support AI initiatives.

  • Develop and deploy predictive models and machine learning algorithms to optimize processes and resource management.

  • Perform exploratory analyses to identify trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities.

  • Create clear and impactful visualizations to communicate analytical results to stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate AI solutions into daily operations.

  • Work with technical teams to ensure seamless integration of models into existing systems.

  • Design, implement, and evaluate agentic AI technologies (autonomous agents, agentic workflows, multi-agent modeling) to automate and optimize business processes.

  • Support the adoption of agentic AI platforms and frameworks, ensuring robust integration with enterprise systems.

  • Prototype, test, and deploy agentic workflows enabling intelligent automation, decision-making, and self-service capabilities.

  • Stay informed about emerging trends in agentic AI and contribute to pilot projects and innovation initiatives.

  • Ensure security, traceability, and governance of agentic AI solutions in collaboration with cybersecurity and compliance teams.

  • Communicate results and recommendations clearly, in a structured manner, and tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Participate in research and development projects to advance the company’s analytical and AI capabilities.

 

What you need to join our team:

  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).

  • Hands-on experience with data science tools, machine learning libraries, and agentic AI platforms.

  • Strong skills in data analysis, statistical modeling, and visualization.

  • Proficiency in AI and machine learning concepts, with practical application in industry.

  • In-depth knowledge of agentic AI principles, autonomous agents, and workflow automation.

  • Experience with databases and cloud platforms.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Skill in explaining technical results to non-specialist audiences.

  • Analytical mindset and ability to solve complex problems.

  • Experience in the agri-food sector (an asset).

  • Proficiency with data visualization tools.

  • Familiarity with enterprise AI integration (SAP, Workday, MES, Copilot M365).
