Position Title: Registered Nurse

Employment Type: Permanent Full Time

Hours per week: 38 hours per week (7-day rotating roster)

Position Grade: Registered Nurse Year 2 to 8

Salary: $70,049.73 to $98,351.39 base per annum

Enterprise Agreement: The Named NSW (non-declared) Affiliated Health Organisations’ Nurses Agreement 2017

While experience in cardiac or critical care nursing is appreciated, it is not a prerequisite.  We provide training and education to ensure that you can develop and enhance your skillset.

A vacancy exists in the Cardiothoracic and Respiratory Unit (Xavier 10 South) for highly motivated Registered Nurses to join our friendly and supportive team.  The ward consists of a 6-bed High Dependency Unit and 22-bed cardiothoracic, transplant and respiratory ward.  Staff are encouraged to participate in staff professional development opportunities as well as our cardiothoracic and heart lung transplant and interventional cardiology post graduate courses.

About you:
We are seeking skilled and energetic Registered Nurses who are passionate about person-centred care.

Are you a registered nurse with excellent acute nursing skills and experience in an acute hospital setting.  We're a team that's all about support and building on your strengths and if you feel the same, we are the team for you.

You'll have a Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse Consultant and Clinical Nurse Educators backing you up. All our teams are also fully dedicated to collaborating with you.

Selection Criteria:

1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia

2. Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency

3. Demonstrated ability to work within the interdisciplinary team with effective communication and interpersonal skills

4. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development

5. Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in their daily practice as a Registered Nurse

6. Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads within a complex environment

7. Minimum 12 months acute hospital nursing experience (Cardiothoracic experience desirable)
