Shift Overview:
•Monday - Thursday, four 9-hour days 6:30am-4:00pm and Friday 6:30am - 10:30am

Job Summary:

The positions within a Maintenance Technician requires strong working knowledge of body and chassis operations, welder and welding basics, controls, sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical systems, start-up, and troubleshooting. The maintenance technician must be able to demonstrate strong safety leadership skills, follow safe work practices, and work independently.

 

Your Impact:  

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
• Check and review work orders and complete tasks on a priority basis.
• Inspect and troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic and mechanical problems.
• Replace and/or repair worn-out, broken, and damaged components, equipment, and parts.
• Operate a crane/hoist for heavy lifting.
• Operate forklift, tow motor, tractors, and other facility vehicles safely.
• Handle wires and hardware.
• Transport tools, parts, supplies, and equipment safely throughout the facility.
• Report repair statuses to department supervisors.
• Communicate using handheld radios with other maintenance personnel.
• Assist co-workers with heavy lifting of parts.
• Complete all the assigned PM’s for the production equipment on time and safely.
• Enter data into computer program as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 6 months or more of relevant experience OR a high school diploma or evaluant education.

Standout Qualifications:
• Knowledge in welding, metal fabrication, and/or technical and paint equipment.
• Certificate or Technical diploma in Electromechanical Technology or equivalent education.
• Computer skills especially knowledge of MS-office package.
• Experience with maintenance on various types of production equipment such as lasers, plasma cutting machines, break presses, dust collection system, HVAC units, blast and paint booths, etc.

  • Individually lift and manipulate parts/equipment weighing up to 80 pounds
  • Tolerate constant standing and sitting while performing tasks
  • Tolerate occasional kneeling, crouching and confined space while performing tasks
  • Have good hand eye coordination
  • Use both hands for tool operation, carrying of parts, and assisting co-workers with heavy lifting of parts
  • Operate and access heavy equipment safely and effectively
  • Remember task sequence and safety constraints
