What You Will Do

  • Conduct design activities working within an integrated product development team and coordinating with divisional engineering to ensure product excellence and integrity is achieved.
  • Support Change Requests process (CRs) by executing key activities in support of the Propeller systems group.
  • Create 2D and 3D CAD designs using Catia, NX CAD Software.
  • Investigate design related issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Conduct drawing, geometry and documentation checks.
  • Work closely with manufacturing operations to disposition non-conforming material.


What You Will Learn

  • Ensure novel ideas and implementations are captured and protected using applicable IP processes and tools.
  • Develop in-house tools where applicable to improve the ease of performing analysis.
  • Utilize engineering standard work and CORE/ACE tools to continuously improve the design process


Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
  • Understanding in Static, Thermal and Dynamic fundamentals.
  • High-level expertise in Team Center Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
  • Proficient in Catia, NX, CREO or similar CAD software.
  • Skilled in coding with VBA, Matlab, Python, or similar programming languages.
  • 2 years of experience or less with hardware and blueprints.
  • Must reside in Puerto Rico at the moment of the application
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English and Spanish)
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the information under this program/contract

 
Qualifications We Prefer

  • Knowledge of continuous improvement principles. 
  • Experience interacting with configuration management (CM) is preferred. 
  • Project management/Project engineering/MS Project experience is valuable 
  • Experience with manufacturing processes such as, machining, plating, plasma spray, welding or brazing is also a plus. 
  • SAP knowledge is valuable.
