The Role & What You Will Be Doing 

As part of the Commercial team, the Business Development Manager drives the company’s growth and expansion by prospecting, negotiating, and closing deals, and developing innovative business opportunities.
 

Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the Business Development Manager role will make an impact: 

  • Identify growth possibilities and initiatives by extending the commercial network (through acquisition, copromotion, in- and out-licensing, collaboration with third parties) based on our current and future portfolio.
  • Develop, execute, and manage growth strategies to drive client acquisition, retention, and revenue growth.
  • Identify and analyse key metrics to evaluate and validate growth initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Sales, etc.) to implement growth initiatives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including potential partners and clients.
  • Use product user data, and market research to inform growth strategies.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on growth metrics and initiatives to senior management.
  • Evaluate opportunities and fit-to-purpose business development initiatives.

About Your Skills & Experience 

For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences: 

  • Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Management, Economics, or other related field.
  • Previous successful experience as in Business Development, Growth Management, Growth Marketing, Project management and/or Key Account Management in the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Trilingual: NL/FR/EN
  • Strategic agility and creativity.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactive and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Familiar with in-licensing and out-licensing processes and practices.
