Description:
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Human Resources team at Marsh. This role will be based in Bermuda and offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office.
As the Marsh Islands HR Leader, you serve as a strategic advisor and operational leader for HR across the region (Bermuda, Barbados, and Cayman Islands). This role bridges strategic business leader partnership with hands-on support of managers, driving the talent agenda aligned with business strategy whilst ensuring seamless end to end operational delivery of total rewards offering.
We will count on you to:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders on talent strategy, workforce planning, succession planning, and people-related decisions, using data-driven insights to support organizational planning
- Partner with leaders to assess bench strength, guide internal mobility, and drive talent reviews, performance management, and broader workforce development
- Lead career development, leadership development, and learning programs to build capability across the organization
- Coach and support People Managers throughout the employee lifecycle, strengthening their skills in performance management, employee relations, and colleague engagement
- Support implementation and adoption of HR programs and initiatives, working closely with COEs and People team partners to deliver consistent enterprise-wide solutions
- Support organizational effectiveness, change management, and internal communications, while championing inclusion, engagement, wellbeing, and culture initiatives across the region
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation across Bermuda, Cayman Islands, and Barbados, and oversee immigration, mobility, benefits administration, and statutory reporting requirements
- Partner with the Employee Relations COE to manage complex employee relations matters and provide regional insights to inform global HR program development
What you need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, or extensive relevant experience may be considered in place of formal education
- 5+ years of HR experience in professional services or other complex, matrixed environments
- 2+ years of experience in a strategic HR business partnering role
- Experience managing pension, benefits, and global mobility processes
- Experience handling immigration cases in Bermuda, Cayman Islands, and Barbados
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation across Bermuda, Cayman Islands, and Barbados
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and escalate complex issues appropriately
- Strong business partnering and strategic advisory skills
- Ability to leverage data and analytics to inform recommendations and decision-making
- Demonstrated ability to coach and develop People Managers
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility across all levels of the organization
- Strong collaboration skills and experience partnering effectively with HR Centers of Excellence and business leaders
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Experience handling employee relations matters, including investigations
