Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Test Technician to join our dynamic team. The Test Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality throughout the product life cycle. From designing test cases to preparing test validation, the Test Technician will drive efforts to identify, analyze, and test software-related issues.

This role is onsite in Glen Cove, NY.

Responsibilities:

·         Rigorously test software and firmware to find bugs, performance issues and other defects that impact the quality, usability, and reliability of the product.

·         Design and perform testing with a customer-satisfaction-driven mindset.

·         Understand technical product specifications and design test scenarios that comprehensively test these specifications.

·         Utilize a scientific method approach for designing and executing test cases.

·         Meticulously document test scenarios to ensure reproducibility.

·         Monitor, summarize, and communicate the outcomes of testing to Development.

·         Collaborate with Development to resolve bugs and enhance the functionality of Standard Bots software and firmware.

·         Test scenarios with customer use cases in mind to ensure usability.

Qualifications:

·     Strong understanding of software/firmware terminology, as well as quality assurance methodologies, tools, and processes.

·     Experience in one or more defect tracking and test management tools.

·         Proven experience in taking ownership of validating certain features/functionalities and timely reporting their status to the team.

·         Experience with robotics or mechatronics systems is a plus.

·         Demonstrated interest in robotics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, software engineering, or a related field. 

·         Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and troubleshoot issues in complex systems.

·         Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

·         Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage tasks, and meet project deadlines.

·         A safety-focused mindset and a commitment to ensuring the highest levels of quality and reliability in robotic systems.
