As part of the Middle Office and Self-Clearing team, you will interact with most teams within the organization and achieve a high-level understanding of how the business operates. What you will do:

  • Daily reconciliation of positions and P&L
  • Identifying, investigating, and reconciling trade, position and cash exceptions by working with trading desks and other relevant teams
  • Reporting of reconciliation breaks
  • Reconciling all direct trading costs including exchange, SEBI turnover fee, STT, stamp duty etc.
  • Working with the Finance team on month end revenue recognition entries
  • Collaborating with Trading and Finance teams to continuously improve the reconciliation and financial reporting process
  • Collaborating with relevant IT teams on enhancements and improvements to middle office / self-clearing applications
  • Monitoring of margin utilization on an ongoing basis
  • Daily processing of the files received from exchange / clearing corporation
  • Periodic reporting to stock exchanges / clearing corporation
  • Operation of DP pool account and beneficiary account.
  • Placement / withdrawal of collateral from clearing corporations and liaising with Finance teams for funding requirements

Who you are:

  • Master’s degree in Finance or Economics with minimum 5 years of work experience in a similar role at a trading/broking firm, bank, Public Fund, Alternative Investment Fund, other entities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics with minimum 7 years of work experience in a similar role at a trading/broking firm, bank, Public Fund, Alternative Investment Fund, other entities
  • Working knowledge and experience in F&O products, exchange margin framework and exchange pay-in/pay-out obligations
  • Extreme attention to detail and excellent follow-through skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work with teams in India and overseas offices
  • Highly motivated individual who will collaborate with others to identify gaps and inefficiencies in processes in order to drive improvement
