Technical/Procedure Insight

Program Design

Project Management
- Set direction and shape future needs for entire medical education program offering.

Training Delivery
- Drive improvements in our medical education offering and implement globally, including digitizing the sales training process, product education and positioning by applying VOC.
Effectiveness Measurement
- Drive departmental objectives, including budget projections
- Establish metrics and goals/success criteria and milestones.
- Establishes long term improvement plan and develops action plans to achieve those goals based on metrics.
Strategic Vision
- Uses strategic planning to enable organizational learning.
- Authors key strategy documents: strategic plan, annual operational plan.
- Gains organizational alignment and communicates plan with key stakeholders/leadership.
- Directs the entire training program for the organization
Budgets/P&L
- Manage medical education budget in accordance with P&L requirement.
- Define plan, secure funding, and creatively seek alternatives to optimize our spend and investment.
- Evaluates impact of Training and medical education strategy on the P&L.
- Discusses alternative budgeting strategies for specific business situations.
- Monitors and ensures adherence to organization's financial practices and standards.
- Reviews and approves all major budget adjustments; negotiates and reconciles line item variances.
Organizational Capabilities
- Drive the Medical Education strategy, goals and tactics in alignment with business and marketing objectives within budget.
- Hire, train, grow and retain talent within team. Set and demonstrate standard for continuous education innovation,

- Partner with Marketing Communication, Marketing and Sales Leadership as well as across Stryker’s Medical Education teams to drive differentiation across our industry
CUSTOMER EXCELLENCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy & Alignment
- Work with all x-functional leaders, UE executive leadership and x-divisional leadership to ensure alignment to surgeon management, and Resident & Fellowship strategies
- Work across Stryker divisional leadership to align and partner on surgeon strategies and Resident and Fellowship strategies
- Manage SAB, Hardware Advisory Board, and Digital Advisory board attendees and agendas to ensure alignment to UE strategic imperatives
Resident & Fellows Management
- Lead a team of program managers to execute the Resident & Fellows annual strategy
- Develop and grow team members to expand capabilities and achieve professional and development goals
- Oversee and optimize utilization and budget, while partnering with Medical Education, Marketing and Sales leadership, for the delivery of business goals
- Oversee annual strategic planning and ensure alignment to business unit strategy
- Oversee the development and delivery of Resident & Fellows programs that aligns with the business unit and divisional goals.
- Build, develop, and manage a team to deliver sustainable results to the organization.
- Create and execute annual Resident & Fellows programs to provide HCP’s with the skills and clinical evidence/awareness to support safe and effective use of Stryker product.
- Develop programs to engage and support Upper Extremities objectives and ensure appropriate partners are in place to effectively deliver educational and value-add objectives.
- Direct, develop, and execute value-added Resident & Fellows programs in alignment with Neurosurgical and Orthopedic Spine.
- Develop new, innovative, and relevant programs to support a consistent educational brand with appropriate messaging.
- Responsible for brand alignment in developing collateral.
- Anticipate, identify, and resolve high-level problems associated with completing projects.
OTHER
- Leads a team of professionals, develops employees, which includes hiring, communicating company policies, coaching and counseling, administering performance appraisals, and enforcing company policies through appropriate disciplinary measures.
- Responsible and accountable for actions promoting an environment that fosters personal growth and development.
- Serves as the representative for various enterprise projects and transformation initiatives.

EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree required

- 10+ years of work experience required
- 7+ years medical device and Medical Education experience preferred
- 4+ years of people management experience highly preferred
- Product Management preferred
- Sales Experience preferred
- Financial accountability for independent budgets.

- Demonstrated leadership skills, 1:1 coaching skill, ability to prioritize and multitask

- Will work with leadership to identify strategic opportunities to improve HCP’s knowledge, skills, competency, performance or patient outcomes with the use of Stryker products.

$145,700 - $321,000 salary plus bonus eligible + generally eligible for short-term and long-term financial incentives + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
Travel Percentage: 40%
