Reporting to the VP, Enterprise Risk and Business Improvement, the Senior Manager, Business Improvement is a senior role that requires advanced expertise in business transformation, operations excellence, and technology assessment and implementation. In this role you are responsible for providing project management, consulting and advisory services to both Operations Groups and Shared Services functions, guiding organizational change initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
As a subject matter expert, you will proactively address complex, enterprise-level challenges, design and execute high-impact improvement strategies, and influence senior decision-making. This includes leading project management for technology strategy development, system reviews and selection, and implementation of solutions that enhance business performance.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead projects using established project management methodologies to ensure high-quality, on-time outcomes
- Guide cross-functional teams, including internal stakeholders, shared services, and external vendors, through all project lifecycle stages from concept to sustainment
- Develop, maintain, and report on detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, issues, and quality controls
- Support and execute change management strategies, including impact assessments, stakeholder engagement, communications, readiness activities, training, and post-implementation support
- Partner with Operating Group and Shared Services leaders to understand business needs, identify improvement opportunities, and provide recommendations on project priorities, resourcing, and sequencing
- Deliver consulting and advisory services across strategic planning, operating model and organizational design, and process optimization initiatives
- Advise and coach senior leaders and operational managers on business and process improvement opportunities, while mentoring junior project and BI team members
- Influence strategic and operational decision-making through thought leadership, benchmarking, data analysis, and internal and external research
- Develop and evaluate business cases, value propositions, financial models, performance metrics, and analytical tools to support investment and improvement decisions
- Conduct advanced quantitative and qualitative analysis to assess business performance, profitability, scalability, and efficiency, and present clear insights and recommendations to leadership
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Engineering, Technology, or a related discipline; Master’s degree desirable.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience delivering strategic and operational improvement initiatives in complex organizations
- At least 5 years’ experience in business transformation, process improvement, and change delivery within multi-divisional, multinational, matrix environments
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in people or delivery team leadership roles
- Minimum 5 years’ experience scoping and delivering technology-enabled solutions, including ERP and core business systems implementations
- Experience in construction or comparable industrial-based industries, and within large shared services or corporate functions environments
- Senior-level management consulting experience within a large professional services firm
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and influence senior executives and key stakeholders
- Strong leadership, communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills, with high emotional intelligence
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in fast-paced environments, applying sound business judgment, ambiguity tolerance, and structured methodologies (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, ISO; accreditation preferred)
Compensation
$119,200.00 - $163,900.00
This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
