Job Summary

The Travel Accounting and Services organization is responsible for providing end to end travel services starting with making a travel reservation to reimbursing employee expenses after the trip. The Travel Accounting Specialist (Accounting Specialist II/III) will be responsible for reviewing the accuracy of Travel and Expense Reports, Purchase Card (PCard) statement reconciliations, and other accounting documents in accordance with Aerospace Corporation’s policies and procedures.  

Work Model

This is a full-time position based in El Segundo, CA, offering a hybrid work model that combines 3+ regular onsite workdays and remote flexibility as the business needs allow. 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Review and approve Travel and Expense Reports in accordance with company policies and procedures ensuring that transactions are posted accurately in SAP
  • Assist with reviewing and approving Purchase Card (PCard) statements ensuring that transactions are processed in accordance with company policies and appropriate expenses and sales taxes are posted accurately in SAP
  • Work closely with employees in interpreting company policies and provide guidance on how to reconcile their Travel & Expense Reports and PCard statements
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing tasks including accruals, monthly account reconciliations, journal entries
  • Respond to audit requests and provide information as needed
  • Contribute to system and process improvements to support initiatives and projects
  • Perform duties within the Travel Accounting including reconciliation of Concur/SAP Interfaces, administer AMEX Corporate Cards, cost transfers, airfare reconciliation

What You Need to be Successful

Minimum Requirements for the Accounting Specialist II:

  • 3 – 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with Corporate Card products including account management
  • Strong knowledge of accounting, accounting system, and company policies
  • Experience as a functional SAP user or similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools
  • Experience as a functional user of Concur Travel and Expense System or similar expense reimbursement tools
  • Proficiency in standard office tools including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

In addition to the above, the minimum requirements for the Accounting Specialist III include:

  • 6 or more years of relevant experience
