Job Description

The Opportunity

Are you interested in driving meaningful change in the organization's risk and control environment of one Of Canada’s leading Financial Institution?  By applying to this job posting, you will join the Enterprise Chief Controls Office (ECCO), a centralized first line of defense group dedicated to embedding a culture of risk ownership and operational excellence. You will drive regulatory remediation initiatives, enhance our risk management capabilities, and ensure the bank maintains its strong compliance posture while positioning itself for sustainable growth.

What You'll Do

  • Develop regulatory remediation status reports and track project phases
  • Create and maintain team documentation, procedures, training materials, and communications
  • Co-lead management action plans and provide strategic oversight for remediation execution
  • Provide guidance to stakeholders on tracking remediation activities in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Lead discussions on regulatory issues and develop thematic observations and recommendations
  • Support planning, execution, and delivery of regulatory portfolios within ECCO
  • Partner across first, second, and third lines of defense to ensure program coordination
  • Develop and deliver training sessions to elevate risk awareness across teams
  • Work with operational and functional specialists to implement regulations into bank processes
  • Foster a culture of compliance across the organization

What You Need to Succeed

Must-Have:

  • Currently enrolled at a Canadian post-secondary institution in a Risk, Finance,  Business or related field
  • Leadership acumen and passion for dynamic environments
  • Change agility and adaptability to evolving regulatory requirements
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience supporting regulatory and audit engagements
  • Project management proficiency, including the ability to plan, execute, and oversee risk management initiatives
  • Experience designing and implementing AI Agents & Models
  • Training design and development experience
