Job Summary
The primary purpose of this role is to support the design, implementation, and ongoing operations of information security tools and services, with a focus on enterprise directory services and identity data management. This includes translating business and technical requirements into scalable directory and identity solutions that ensure information assets are accurately represented, accessible, and protected with appropriate controls.
This also includes monitoring, testing, and evaluating security assessments of systems and taking steps to help design and implement remediation solutions. The associate will contribute to building and enhancing tools, automations, and integrations that support directory operations and identity workflows.
To be successful, the individual in this role must know security practices and tools related to identity and access management along with understanding of directory services and platforms such as Radiant Logic RadiantOne. This role helps establish and maintain programs that enable the business to operate efficiently and remain in compliance with regulatory and industry best practices.
Roles & Responsibilities
- The primary purpose of this role is to support the design, implementation, and ongoing operations of information security tools and services in the Identity and Access Management (IAM) space, with a focus on enterprise directory services and identity data platforms.
- Support enterprise directory services, including LDAP-based systems and virtual directory technologies (e.g., RadiantOne), ensuring high availability, performance, and data integrity.
- Assist in managing identity data flows, transformations, and synchronization across systems, including implementing and maintaining directory changes and integrations.
- Develop and maintain scripts and lightweight tools to automate directory operations, data processing, and system maintenance tasks.
- Apply strong analytical and critical thinking skills to troubleshoot complex directory and identity data issues, identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of directory architectures and identity data models that support authentication and authorization services.
- Able to understand, translate, and support authentication services in accordance with standards (i.e., OAuth, OIDC, SAML 2.0, etc.).
- Support the implementation and maintenance of assigned information security and directory solutions; develops and documents standards (e.g., guidelines, processes, procedures).
- Assist in monitoring directory and identity systems, reviewing logs, and analyzing system performance and data consistency.
- Collaborate with engineering and other technology teams to design and implement scalable identity and directory solutions.
- Bring an “out-of-the-box” mindset to solving problems, identifying opportunities to improve processes, tooling, and system design.
- Remain aware of technological trends and developments in directory services, IAM, and identity data management.
- Participate in continuing education and learning, including RadiantOne, LDAP, and related identity technologies.
- Solve technical problems with solutions that are testable, maintainable, and efficient.
- Provide support in the event of escalated issues related to directory services and identity systems; help diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
- Support the implementation of system changes and enhancements to ensure reliability and security requirements are met.
- Participate in break/fix activities and ongoing operational support.
- Analyze outputs from system and security tools to identify opportunities for optimization and risk reduction.
- Contribute to custom enhancements and integrations using secure coding and scripting practices.
- Monitor and analyze platform performance to ensure systems operate within defined thresholds.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on product support, troubleshooting, maintenance, and documentation.
- Possess working knowledge of JSON, REST, APIs, and directory integrations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent work experience in a related field)
- 2 Years of experience in technology system support, software development, or a related field
- 1 Year of experience with information security applications and systems
- Foundational knowledge of LDAP protocol and directory services concepts
- Understanding of virtual directory platforms
- Experience with custom scripting or programming (e.g. Python, Java, or similar)
- Understanding of identity lifecycle management
- Strong foundational knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge and understanding of identity protocols and standards (OAuth, OIDC, SAML)
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Computer Science, CIS, Business Administration, or related field
- Experience with managing, deploying, and virtual directories, such as Radiant Logic’s RadiantOne platform or similar directories
- Experience with deploying CI/CD pipelines.
- 1 Year of experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions applying development life cycles (SDLC)
- 2 years of experience analyzing the output of industry-standard cybersecurity tools and identifying remediations to reduce risk and exposure of applications.
- Relevant information security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, PCI ISA, CRISC, CISA, OSCP, GPen).
- Advanced understanding of information security practices and policies
- 2 Years of IT experience developing and implementing business systems within an organization
- 2 years of experience working with defect or incident-tracking software
- 2 Years of experience with technical documentation in a software development environment
- 2 years of experience working with an IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework
- 2 years of experience leading teams, with or without direct reports
- Experience with Cloud technologies
- Experience handling identity data transformations, synchronization, or integration patterns
- Experience building tools, automations, or utilities to support engineering or operational workflows
- Experience working with APIs, JSON, and REST-based integrations
