As part of our successful European Sales team, you will be responsible for managing a globally renowned tier 1 Automotive & Engineering leader, headquarted in Stuttgart.  You will be responsible for selling QNX’s award winning portfolio of products including; development tools, services and royalties. 

While based in Germany, you will be responsible for account activities worldwide. As such, you will work closely with a Technical Account Manager (also based in Germany) as well as coordinating activities with additional sales resources based in the US, India and China.

In this role, you will:

  • Identify customer’s goals and challenges and using QNX product portfolio, develop a strategy to address them.
  • Work with the sales team, comprised of an assigned Field Application Engineer, Inside Sales Representative and Business Development to analyse customer requirements, deliver product and services against customer needs and lead the sales cycle through to revenue recognition.
  • Manage the account both in the capacity as a customer and a partner, to consolidate and expand QNX position in the automotive space
  • Ensure revenue generation on a quarterly and yearly basis.
  • Engage at the project level to ensure successful deployment of QNX solutions
  • Establish network within executive management of the account to support the successful implementation of your strategy.
  • Utilise a strong team mindset to collaborate with your pears who are supporting OEM and other Tier 1 to help the team’s continued success.
  • Build and maintain positive customer relationships, handling expectations and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Assist in defining strategic marketing initiatives, liaising with R&D to communicate customer technical requirements and ensuring support commitments are fulfilled to deliver customer satisfaction.
  • Provide regular forecasting and reporting including managing the accuracy of the forecast pipeline, lead management, and being the voice of the customer within QNX.

You will:

  • Have experience in the automotive domain.  With the position being exclusively focused on automotive, you should have strong knowledge of the competitive landscape (players, market dynamics, challenges, technology trends etc).
  • A background in selling software: QNX is at the core of the SDV (Software Defined Vehicle), therefore, a solid understanding of the underlying technologies and their corresponding licensing mechanics will be required. 
  • A track record of consistent sales quota achievement & ideally over-achievement.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills at the level required to manage a complex global account.
  • Confident and influential communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the real-time embedded software market.
  • Experience in consultative software solution selling.
  • Experience negotiating, running and closing major global accounts, with accurate forecasting and CRM hygiene abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or similar fields in the technology space, or meaningful relevant experience
  • Ability to conduct business in English and German is required, any additional languages would be welcomed.
