Job Purpose:  

The European Inbound Freight Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and optimizing inbound transportation flows across Europe, ensuring efficient movement of goods from manufacturers and suppliers to TD SYNNEX logistics centers and end customers. The role focuses on carrier performance, freight cost optimization, vendor compliance, transportation reporting, and operational excellence while supporting strategic initiatives to improve efficiency, service quality, and supply chain reliability across the region.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate inbound transportation flows from manufacturers and suppliers to TD SYNNEX distribution centers and customers across Europe.

  • Monitor transportation performance and identify opportunities to optimize costs, service levels, and operational efficiency.

  • Collaborate with freight forwarders, carriers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of shipments.

  • Manage escalations and resolve transportation issues impacting inbound operations.

  • Support the definition and implementation of transportation strategies, carrier selection, and routing models.

  • Monitor carrier performance against agreed KPIs and drive corrective actions where required.

  • Manage transportation-related claims, disputes, and service recovery activities.

  • Review and approve transportation invoices, ensuring cost accuracy and compliance.

  • Support vendor compliance programs and escalate recurring transportation-related issues.

  • Produce and maintain transportation performance reporting and freight visibility dashboards.

  • Leverage AI and automation opportunities to improve transportation planning, reporting, and operational efficiency.

  • Support continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing inbound logistics processes and customer service.

Knowledge Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in transportation, freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain operations.

  • Strong understanding of international transportation processes, including road, air, and multimodal freight.

  • Knowledge of Incoterms, customs clearance processes, and European import regulations.

  • Experience working with carriers, freight forwarders, and transportation vendors.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret transportation data and identify performance improvement opportunities.

  • Experience monitoring carrier KPIs and transportation costs.

  • Ability to work effectively across multiple countries and cross-functional teams.

  • Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with Power BI and SAP is preferred.

  • Interest in digital transformation, automation, and AI applications within logistics and transportation.
