You will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners and engage external stakeholders—primarily Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and healthcare organizations—to support evidence-based decision making and patient access to Takeda medicines.

This is a field-based role, with approximately 60 % of time spent in the field engaging with external stakeholders (including virtual engagement as appropriate).

HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE

Medical strategy, planning & execution

  • Co-develop and execute local Medical Affairs activities and the TA Medical Plan, aligned with the local Brand Plan and Area/Regional/Global Medical Plans (where relevant).

  • Utilize in-field insights to shape medical/scientific strategy and support business development.

  • Create and/or support the development of medical/scientific materials (e.g., MSL slide decks, advisory board materials).

  • Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, codes, and internal SOPs.

  • Support planning and implementation of patient access programs/initiatives in line with local requirements.

  • Provide medical expertise for local adverse event review and contribute to pharmacovigilance activities.

KOL engagement (approximately 60 %)

  • Build and maintain strong, credible relationships with KOLs and other external stakeholders.

  • Represent Takeda with a strong medical voice in the therapeutic area.

  • Lead and/or support scientific exchange and key medical activities (e.g., advisory boards, focus groups, medical education and peer-to-peer trainings).

  • Support identification and development of local TA experts and potential international engagements.

Cross-functional collaboration

  • Provide medical/scientific input into the Brand Plan as part of the cross-functional Brand Team.

  • Deliver medical reviews of promotional materials and ensure scientific content is fair, balanced, evidence-based, and compliant with local requirements and Takeda policies.

  • Provide scientific support and training to internal stakeholders (Medical, Marketing, Market Access, Regulatory, etc.).

  • Participate in Area/Regional/Global Medical Affairs initiatives.

Data generation & dissemination

  • Execute local data generation/dissemination plans aligned with the Medical Plan.

  • Support local data generation programs addressing unmet needs and value demonstration gaps.

  • Collaborate with clinical operations (based on written requests) to help enable inclusion of local patients in global trials.

Omni-Channel Engagement & insights

  • Apply omni-channel engagement (OCE) principles to deliver the right content via the right channel at the right time.

  • Use engagement technologies and platforms (e.g., CRM/Veeva and Takeda ecosystem tools) to capture insights and improve stakeholder experience.

  • Routinely collect and enter qualitative and quantitative insights from face-to-face and virtual interactions to support data-driven planning.
