We are seeking a Finance Operations Manager to join the Fugro Finance team based in Dubai, UAE. The purpose of this role is to support business success by:

  • advising the business at country/regional level on accounting and reporting related topics.
  • managing alignment with the Finance Shared Service Center process model.
  • establishing and maintaining accounting and fiscal policies and controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support RHoF & RBLCs with monthly preparation of financial reports, dealing with queries, resolving problems, and assisting country controllers where needed.
  • Prepare monthly analysis on financial performance and provide feedback, comments and queries where applicable. This includes review of P&L and Balance Sheets and understanding financial transactions, journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Support with UAE country controllers for both the Land and Marine business and act as the middleman between Project Controllers and RBLCs.
  • Manage & coordinate with the Finance Shared Service Centre (FSSC) to ensure timely and accurate month-end closing activities in the region.
  • Collaborate with internal and external Auditors during audit engagements and address audit findings in a timely manner.
  • Partner with the Procurement team to streamline and optimize P2P Process where possible.

What Skills & Experience Will You Have?


 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Qualification in Chartered Accounting would be an advantage
  • Minimum 5 years of experience within a Finance role in a Projects based Industry (Construction/Engineering, etc)
  • A process driven individual with the ability to improve any potential gaps in audit findings and to ensure reduction of issues/findings before and during audits.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office packages.
