Job Summary
As an Infrastructure Analyst on the Common Infrastructure Services team, you will be responsible for supporting and administering a portfolio of enterprise platforms that strengthen monitoring, security, and visibility across the organization. In this role, you’ll work hands-on with technologies such as SolarWinds Observability, Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS), ManageEngine Password Manager Pro, and CyberArk Privilege Cloud, ensuring these platforms remain healthy, secure, and ready to support the business.
This position is ideal for an administrator who enjoys owning production platforms, solving complex technical problems, and continuously improving how services are operated. You will collaborate closely with infrastructure, security, and service delivery teams, acting as a technical escalation point and helping translate operational needs into stable, well‑run services.

Key Accountabilities:
- Leads the development and support of modern monitoring dashboards, reporting, and alerts pertaining to the health of NAV CANADA’s infrastructure including network and firewall appliances, hypervisors (VMWare, Nutanix, and Hyper-V), Linux and Windows servers, and applications.
- Partners with internal clients to define and interpret functional requirements and standards, ensuring compliant implementation of infrastructure monitoring, privileged access management, and certificate policies.
- Provides technical leadership by developing, and maintaining documentation of system requirements, design, architecture, roadmap, configurations, standards, and procedures for the operation and recovery of supported platforms.
- Ensures proper role-based access control and user account management within supported infrastructure platforms.
- Automate common or repetitive tasks and provide scripts to support teams managing their systems.
- Engages with vendors to create NAV CANADA tailor-made solutions aligned with industry best practices and organizational standards.
- Provide peer-review of implementation plans, test plans, knowledge base articles, code, and scripts related to supported systems and services.
- Maintains test beds and development environments aligned with production and operational environments, ensures that these environments are healthy, functional, and compliant to security standards, access, and patching policies.
- Participates in planning, providing clear estimations and timelines for when activities and commitment dates will be met.
- Keeps abreast of emerging computing trends and evolving technology platforms in areas of specialization.
Job Requirements
Education:
- Graduated from a recognized university or college with a degree/certification in engineering, computer sciences, information technology, and at least 5 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
- Experience onboarding platforms, hypervisors, appliances, systems, applications, and infrastructure into a monitoring platform, including alerting, query-driven modern dashboards, and reporting.
- Experience supporting certificate‑based authentication and encryption for enterprise services, applications, or infrastructure components.
- Experience supporting credential lifecycle activities, such as password rotation, account onboarding, and troubleshooting credential‑related access issues when using privilege access management (PAM) or password vault platforms
- Experience working within structured operational environments that include change, incident, and problem management processes.
Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of monitoring concepts such as availability, performance, capacity, alerting, and event correlation.
- Strong knowledge of monitoring platform lifecycle management, including onboarding, tuning, and continuous improvement of dashboards, alerts, and reports for monitored entities.
- Advanced knowledge of PowerShell for system administration, reporting, and automation with a focus on efficiency.
- Knowledge of certificate authorities, certificate lifecycle management, certificate-based authentication, encryption, and trust relationships in enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of privileged account management concepts, including credential vaulting, rotation, least privilege, management of privileged identities and credentials in an enterprise environment.

- Ability to clearly translate complex technical concepts into understandable, actionable information for both technical specialists and non‑technical stakeholders, adapting communication style to suit the audience.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues in production and operational environments
- Ability to collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to provide implementation guidance, knowledge sharing, and resolve cross-domain issues
- Ability to research, learn, and coach others on new concepts, technologies, and best practices.
- Ability to clearly document implementation plans and automation solutions to support operational handover and team use.

Working conditions :
