The Event Audio Visual Supervisor will supervise and assist the team to ensure the smooth execution of campus events. But not limited to; event operations, providing technical assistance, coordinating with vendors/ event stakeholders, and supporting the overall purpose of the University Event Services department under the guidance of the Event Audio Visual Technology Team Manager.

What You Will Do:

  • Oversee and operate Audio Visual equipment warehouse process for event use. Including staging equipment for upcoming events and managing overall inventory of equipment.

  • Assists Event Coordinators and department stakeholders in determining event needs and provides support as a liaison between vendors and the organization for technical rentals, including equipment and labor requirements for events.

  • Help assists to manage event work orders and calendar of events to ensure that all needs are adequately addressed in a timely manner.  

  • Supervises and develops training plans and strategies for Audio Visual student workers.

  • Ability to setup, assist, operate, and execute Audio Visual responsibilities of events as needed.

  • Assists with coordination of corrective and preventative maintenance for all Event-related audio-visual equipment.

  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Will Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an Accredited College preferred.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Demonstrated experience with warehousing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and operating audio-visual equipment.

  • Demonstrated experience with live event setup, coordination, and execution, specifically when it comes to Audio Visual equipment and coordination.

  • Up to date forklift certificate.

  • Must successfully pass a background check.

  • Ability to meet deadlines while working under pressure.

  • Ability to manage, mentor, and coach team members.

  • Ability to manage inventory and use related software to ensure low amounts of equipment loss.

  • Familiarity with industry standard audio, video, lighting, and broadcast equipment

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to promote excellent customer service.

  • Ability to stay organized and communicate effectively with both internal and external personal relating to events being held on campus.
