Position Overview
Apollo is seeking an Associate to join their NYC product team focusing on Credit products. Product coverage and involvement will primarily center around Apollo’s growing Global Wealth Credit based funds, primarily corporate credit. The Associate will have exposure to products across Apollo’s Credit platform. This person will assist in coordinating new product launches, supporting the growth of various product lines, managing active fundraise processes, keeping the sales team informed of initiatives and developments and presenting marketing opportunities externally.
Primary Responsibilities
Work closely with product leads, investment, finance, compliance and legal teams to build an in‐depth understanding of the various product offerings
Facilitate the creation & maintenance of marketing materials and presentations
Analyze large data sets to create new content and draft investor responses
Assist in aspects of active fundraises for credit-based products, on an ongoing basis
Collaborate and coordinate with global Sales team and other members of the Client & Product Solutions team to raise capital from existing and new investors
Managing build out of fund materials on various internal platforms e.g. Data Room
Maintain investment and performance data
Execute on client requests for the purpose of diligence as well as ongoing client management, including due diligence requests and RFI submissions
Constantly seek to build relationships through appropriate follow-up, gaining a thorough understanding of investors' internal approval processes and how allocations fit in the context of their overall portfolios
Qualifications & Experience
4+ years of prior experience, preferably within an alternative asset management firm, investment bank, private bank or investment consulting firm
Experience in a portfolio management, business development, wealth management or product role with some credit or fixed income exposure preferred
Understanding of the alternative asset management marketplace, products and competitors
Strong ability to multi-task and pivot between responsibilities at various periods of time while keeping a high level of attention to detail & adherence to deadlines
Strong analytical capabilities in order to develop product expertise in relevant strategies; ability to engage in detailed investment discussions
Outstanding written and oral presentation skills must be highly developed and refined in this individual's current responsibilities
Pay Range
$135,000 - $160,000The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
