Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.
Responsibilities:
The Demand Planning Analyst will collaborate across various internal business segments to collect, analyze and develop sourcing strategies for key commodities, equipment and resources needed to support long-term business objectives. This individual will have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect, analyze and maintain wholistic demand forecast models over multiple time horizons by commodity, material category and/or resource classification,
- Gather market intelligence and industry trends associated with these supply chain area and conduct risk assessments to proactively identify potential supply shortages, capacity constraints, supply disruptions, inflationary impacts, etc.,
- Develop and propose strategy sourcing actions or risk mitigation recommendations for company leadership consideration,
- Implement approved sourcing strategies to support integration of supply chain and efficient procurement to mitigate supply disruptions, address capacity constraints, improve economic positioning and reduce lead times,
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to demand forecasting, evaluate variances and provide actional insights for improvement,
- Serve as the liaison between Sourcing, Project Management, Procurement and Materials Management for demand forecasting and planning,
- Use knowledge of sources and suppliers across the industry to meet complex requirements and to ensure supply security,
- Perform other duties assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, sourcing, business or related field,
- 3-5 years or more in a similar Sourcing, Supply Chain or Demand Forecasting role in a multifaceted organization executing construction projects and facility operations,
- Excellent knowledge of sourcing, procurement and delivery processes,
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to simplify complex concepts and present key details and conclusions,
- Proficient with MS OfficeSuite, SAP and Coupa procurement systems is preferred,
- Interest in and comfort with being a part of a team environment with rapidly changing assignments and priorities,
- Demonstrated initiative and ownership of work with strong attention to detail,
- Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual procurement reports,
- Willing to report in office daily, with occasional nights and weekend work required,
- Periodic travel may be required.
