Let’s talk about this role 

As the IT Experience Engineer, you will build, maintain and continually improving the group Standard Operating Environments (SOE). Your role will involve managing the platforms that deliver the SOE, including virtual desktop environments.

Some other key responsibilities include:

  • Providing an excellent IT experience in group hubs for staff including wireless and wired network, meeting room infrastructure, printing and desk booking systems

  • Overseeing the planning, prioritisation and assignment of technical tasks and projects, ensuring roadmaps are created, maintained and delivered

  • Implementing new applications into the self-service portal required by group.

  • Implementing automated deployment and configuration management processes to streamline and automate SOE updates and maintenance

  • Building and maintaining appropriate documentation of processes and procedures for the maintenance, management and compliance of SOE platforms

This is a 12 months Fixed Term Contract.

Let’s talk about you 

With a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in IT, some key skills and experience that will set you up for success include:

  • Tertiary qualification in an IT related discipline

  • Advanced troubleshooting skills

  • Demonstrated ability in managing technology projects, and vendor management

  • Interpersonal skills such as stakeholder engagement, communication skills, active listening skills and customer-service oriented

  • Ability to multi-task, challenge the status quo and adapt to change quickly

  • Prior experience in administering management and monitoring systems

  • Proven advanced experience with the following technology:

  • Cloud technologies, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, and other Microsoft VDI technologies 

  • Administration of SCCM and InTune environments 

  • Jamf & Airwatch management platforms 

  • Active Directory/Group Policy/DNS 

  • Network Administration – Routing/Switching/Firewalls/Wireless / SD-WAN 

  • Meeting room hardware such as Neat, Crestron and Polycom
