What you will accomplish :

For our Luxembourg shared services office we are looking for a fixed-term, Accounting Supervisor whose activities consist primarily of the following:

  • Supporting the monthly G/L accounting process for several EMEA entities.
  • Supporting statutory reporting activities including the preparation of annual financial statements and coordination with external auditors.
  • Preparation of financial reporting and regulatory reporting
  • Maintaining proper balance reconciliation of all G/L accounts and integrity of the financial accounts.
  • Assisting in the monthly close process and preparation of monthly general ledger account fluctuations and
  • Confirming proper treatment and compliance of all accounting transactions and policies.
  • Work with management in various departments, including tax, treasury, corporate accounting for proper consideration of corresponding transactions.
  • Demonstrate a proven ability to manage projects, process improvements and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-focused results.
     

What you will bring :

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting. CPA / ACCA, CIMA, OEC is a plus.
  • Strong technical accounting background.
  • Experience with Financial Statement preparation
  • Experience with regulatory reporting a plus
  • Experience in working for large company & taking care of large volume of transactions
  • At least four years general ledger accounting experience is required
  • Strong Excel and analytical approach.
  • Great teammate and have ability to work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout Company organization.
  • Hands-on experience in managing general ledger and reporting function.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including LUX GAAP, International Accounting Standards (IFRS), US GAAP and compliance experience.
  • SAP Financial System experience, (SAP S4HANA highly desirable).
  • Fluent in English with French a plus
  • Desire to improve processes, implement new ideas and actively get involved
  • Self-motivated, organised with an ability to work in a face-paced environment and manage tight deadlines.
