Position Summary...

What you'll do...

The Data Incident Response Manager role will lead and coordinate internal response efforts  related to complex cybersecurity and data protection concepts. This will involve gathering facts specifically responsive to the Digital Citizenship Data Incident Management Program and also involve collaborating with additional teams within Global Governance where violations of law, regulation, or policy are uncovered. This role reports to the Senior Manager and Program Manager of Data Incident Response and will serve as the lead coordinator, acting as a subject matter expert on handling assigned data incident inquiries and partnering with business partners, business leaders, legal counsel and associates.

What you’ll do…

  • Receiving reported Data Incidents and conducting complex response efforts with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Working with Information Security, Legal, and other business units to strategize and respond to reported data incidents.
  • Planning and executing proactive strategies for incident response while utilizing analytics to identify potential risk trends, in partnership with Information Security and Global Investigations
  • Coordinating and managing internal and external stakeholders to resolve data incident cases involving consumer and patient data.
  • Evaluating the work product from data incident cases to ensure it meets program standards.
  • Writing comprehensive, succinct, and proficient data incident reports that meet legal and programmatic requirements.
  • Interviewing knowledgeable individuals to gather necessary incident facts and presenting findings to response team members.
  • Promoting and supporting company policies, procedures, missions, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others about their use and application.

What you’ll bring…

  • You have strong experience or understanding in data review, IT general controls, and proactive incident response methodologies as they relate to identifying and responding to data incidents and data breaches.
  • You have a strong understanding of laws, regulations, concepts, and practices applicable to corporate compliance data incident response efforts such NIST, CISA, the HIPAA Breach Rule, state data breach notification laws, or international data breach notification laws.
  • You have a proven track record in executing detailed incident response plans.
  • You have a strong understanding of technical concepts associated with cybersecurity and data protection.
  • You possess exceptional written communication skills and the proven ability to understand and present complex information to key stakeholders.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and are a self-starter, capable of interfacing with Walmart’s business platforms to present findings and identified risks.
  • You are action-oriented, resourceful, and approachable while also having the ability to influence and lead change, based on your experience and network.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$155,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 2 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area OR 4 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area.
2 years’ experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.
