Summary:

Coordinates the admissions, health care services, day to day needs and discharge of international patients from various regions of the world, as well as for patients of special interest to Memorial Healthcare System.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for navigating patients through the program and providing individualized services based on patient's needs.Confirms that patient's financial responsibilities and required documentation is processed in conformance with the departments standard operating procedures including collection and verification of insurance information.Maintains database for tracking global patients and provides monthly reports to Director for review.Attends events and community functions locally and internationally as requested to promote visibility of the program.

Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be proficient in Microsoft applications. Knowledge of medical terminology and international insurances processing in a clinical setting. Bilingual in English and Spanish with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages. Domestic and International travel required. Required Work Experience: Three (3) years experience in healthcare patient services, patient relations or a related environment required.
