Responsible for leading and optimizing human and material resources within the Engineering and Maintenance areas to achieve SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) performance objectives aligned with the Annual Operating Plan (AOP). This role ensures equipment reliability, drives process improvements, oversees capital projects, and enables operational excellence through strategic engineering and maintenance leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Engineering and Maintenance teams to ensure plant performance is aligned with SQDC and AOP goals.

• Develop and implement engineering strategies that enhance operational efficiency, reliability, and long-term sustainability.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost optimization.

• Own the justification, planning, execution, and control of CAPEX projects, ensuring alignment with business priorities.

• Oversee engineering modifications, facility upgrades, and technological implementations that support capacity, automation, and productivity improvements.

• Ensure engineering and maintenance activities comply with safety, ergonomics, environmental, and regulatory standards.

• Promote a strong safety culture through risk assessments, preventive actions, and engineering solutions.

• Guarantee equipment availability and performance through robust preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

• Improve manufacturing processes through engineering solutions, automation, tooling enhancements, and layout optimization.

• Ensure on-time delivery by improving process flows and addressing bottlenecks that impact operational performance.

• Lead cost-reduction initiatives within Engineering and Maintenance, focusing on waste elimination, energy efficiency, and resource optimization.

• Ensure efficient use of materials, spare parts, and technical resources.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

• 3–4 years of experience as an Engineering Manager, Maintenance Manager, or similar leadership role.

• Proven background in manufacturing, ideally in metal-mechanics, automotive, or high-volume industrial environments.

• Demonstrated experience managing capital projects, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement programs.

• Advanced English (written and spoken).

• Strong analytical skills, problem-solving capabilities, and experience working with data-driven decision-making.

• Leadership competencies aligned to operational environments: coaching, collaboration, effective communication, and stakeholder management.
