What you will be doing…
We are seeking a dynamic and technical Supervisor of Network Automation Engineering to lead a high-performing team in the development and integration of our Virtual Service Operations Platforms (VSOP), Closed-Loop systems, Alarm Correlation and AI-related projects.
In this role, you will be the architect of & self-healing networks, driving the transformation fromtraditional Network Operations (NetOps) to a modern, automated DevOps-centric model. You will lead the effort to develop scalable workflows for Edge Networks, ensuring our engineerscan perform tasks more efficiently and at a far greater scale. You will balance technical strategy with people management, ensuring that automation activities maintain the highest standards of safety, reliability, and operational excellence.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of automation engineers, setting individual performance objectives, providing reviews, and aligning team training with emerging technologies.
Strategic Automation: Drive the design and development of end-to-end closed-loop automation workflows (Monitor, Analyze, Plan, Execute) to achieve aggressive MTTR reduction targets.
Orchestration & Integration: Oversee the mapping of telemetry data (SNMP, gNMI, Streaming Telemetry) to automated action policies and manage lifecycle events via SDN/NFV controllers.
Operational Excellence: Enforce a Prepare, Pause, and Confirm methodology to ensure all automation activities meet safety standards while reducing & false positives in remediation.
Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with global senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and align with the broader organization & architecture.
Performance Metrics: Monitor and report on key KPIs, including Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), Zero-Touch Provisioning percentages, and workflow reliability to executive levels.
What We’re Looking for…
You are a technical expert who thrives in a high-flux environment. You have a proven ability to
manage multiple large-scale projects, remove barriers for your team, and lead technical
discussions across varying levels of the organization.
You will need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of relevant work experience.
Four or more years of experience in Network Engineering or Software Automation.
Proven experience leading technical teams in software integration or automation development.
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work flexible hours to support global operations.
Automation Expertise: Deep understanding of automation frameworks (Python, Go, or Ansible) and microservices architecture (Kubernetes, Docker, RESTful APIs).
Network Intelligence: Familiarity with NetConf/Yang, JSON, Kafka, and the integration of AI/ML models for predictive maintenance and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
Framework Knowledge: Experience with ETSI MANO-based frameworks, SDN/NFV, and the MAPE-K loop logic.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Telecommunications.
Strong background in 5G Core or Open RAN (O-RAN) architecture.
Experience with AIOps tools and TM Forum Open APIs.
Technical project management experience within an Agile Framework.
