Systems Engineer – Windows / Automation
JOB SUMMARY
The Systems Engineer will be part of a global engineering team responsible for implementing, operating, and improving automation capabilities that support platforms and services. This role focuses on hands-on infrastructure and systems automation, operational support, and delivery of defined engineering work in a collaborative, Agile environment. The engineer will work with team members across regions to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable solutions aligned with standards and the Winning Way.
The primary focus of this role is Windows-based systems, with additional responsibility supporting Linux environments in a mixed OS enterprise landscape.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work as part of an engineering team to implement and support infrastructure and automation solutions aligned with organizational priorities.
Contribute to infrastructure and platform automation using Terraform, Ansible, and AWX, following established standards and patterns.
Develop and maintain automation scripts and tooling using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
Assist with automated provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of environments across Azure, Oracle Cloud, and AWS.
Support both Windows and Linux systems, with primary emphasis on Windows Server–based platforms in enterprise environments.
Document automation workflows, pipelines, scripts, and operational procedures.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure, automation, operating systems, and deployment pipelines.
Collaborate with Development, Systems, and Architecture teams, including global stakeholders.
Follow security, reliability, and operational best practices.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, reviews, and continuous improvement activities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
Experience writing and maintaining automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar languages.
Experience contributing to CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions.
Strong working knowledge of Windows systems administration, particularly Windows Server in private and public cloud environments.
Working experience supporting Linux-based systems in an enterprise environment.
Experience deploying and supporting infrastructure or applications on Azure, AWS, or Oracle Cloud.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Git-based workflows, and modern DevOps practices.
Exposure to container technologies such as Docker.
Understanding of build, test, configuration, and deployment processes.
Awareness of security best practices related to infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with distributed teams.

EDUCATION, TRAINING
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience working in infrastructure, systems engineering, or DevOps-oriented environments.
