Your role at Clorox:

As a Financial Analyst Junior within the Marketing Forecast team, you will support close and forecast activities for one Business Unit while working closely with Finance leadership and cross-functional partners. Your area of responsibility will be Marketing Spending including Advertising, Sales Promotion, and Coupons. Working as a key business partner, you will partner to facilitate business strategies and goals by translating operating activities and results into business insights. As part of Finance, your insights will drive decision-making opportunities across the organization, and your influence will help the company build big-share brands that make everyday life better, every day.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the Marketing Budget Status Report (BSR) process for one Business Unit, working closely with Marketing teams and Marketing Accounting to understand spending programs, accounting policies as well as opportunities and risks. 
  • Complete close activities for Advertising, Sales Promotion, Coupons, and Graphics spending accounts, which include ensuring the accounting performed is in accordance with corporate guidelines and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Perform forecasting activities for Marketing spending for one Business Unit, including the annual budget, subsequent plan updates, and gap management activities.  Analyze variances to the budget, prior updates, and year ago period and identify opportunities for creating value
  • Identify and implement improvements in processes, responsibilities, templates, and systems in order to drive overall efficiency and effectiveness of the role while continuing to maintain a strong control environment
  • Support category profitability by positively influencing key stakeholders to make sound financial decisions, and providing insights to leadership teams on the drivers of the SBUs business's financial performance.  Proactively identifying issues/obstacles affecting profitable growth and creating/recommending sound mitigation plans that contain an objective and balanced point of view.
  • Reconcile Coupons balance sheet account in order to help our stakeholders take correct decision on their budget.
  • Book journal entries as needed
  • Contribute in special projects as needed

What we look for:

  • Minimum: Minimum of 1+ years of finance, accounting or related experience
  • Advanced English level - Mandatory

    • Strong background knowledge in accounting and finance
    • SAP experience preferred

  • Education Level/Degree: Bachelors degree in business, finance or accounting
