Job Description Summary:

The Associate Product Manager is responsible for assisting with product management, project management, and marketing for selected products. This includes participating in product roadmap discussions, features, market research, technical requirement gathering, product positioning, cross-functional operation management, and project management. The Associate Product Manager drafts targeted user stories, gathers requirements, manages releases and solves problems, working closely with Product Managers, Engineering, Support, and Sales to deliver winning products. Along with their peers, they will ensure that the product, operation, and marketing efforts support the overall business strategy and goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the identification of new opportunities and features based on customer feedback, market research, and product strategy
  • Specific project and operation management in support of the product
  • Identifies and documents trends in data
  • Performs targeted competitive and data analysis
  • Participates in product roadmap discussions
  • Works cross-functionally with engineering, marketing, support, and sales. 
  • Product, project, and go to market enablement
  • Support the roadmap
  • Manage product decisions based on engineering tradeoffs and customer feedback, while helping support development of business cases to drive proposed investment priorities
  • Assist in briefing internal sales force and business partners on product releases, lifecycle, and policies

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of Product Management experience with data related enterprise software experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and learn technical details related to data products
  • Demonstrated ability to create and build strong working relationships with peer stakeholders internally
  • Demonstrated project management and organization skills
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills to deal professionally with all types of people—a team player with a client-centric attitude
  • Outstanding attention to detail and quality conscious
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and solve problems independently
  • Excellent research and prioritization skills
  • Mainframe data understanding is a plus

Travel/Other Requirements:

< 10% travel required

Willingness to be flexible regarding working hours to support client meetings and cross-functional projects.
