Job Description:

The Sales Enablement Initiatives Consultant will be responsible for managing and executing various content and distribution initiative strategies to support the retail distribution team nationally. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to create, manage and optimize the usage of our content within the Seismic platform to enhance sales effectiveness. The consultant will also help to organize, coordinate, and execute various event strategies and initiatives across Canada.

What will you do?

Enablement:

  • Take ownership of the enablement content management & platform optimization of Seismic for the distribution team.
  • Oversee the organization and maintenance of sales support content within Seismic.
  • Ensure content is regularly updated, accurate, and aligned with the latest Distribution strategies and marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Training and Enablement to gather and integrate new content to support Sales Enablement activations.
  • Develop and implement best practices for content labeling, tagging and categorization to ensure materials are current, compliant, and easily accessible to the Distribution field teams.
  • Research and implement new functionality within Seismic to ensure the platform is being leveraged to its fullest potential.
  • Partner with the training team & Distribution Ops to develop training materials to educate Distribution teams on using Seismic effectively.
  • Provide ongoing support and act as first point of contact to Seismic users within Distribution; addressing questions and providing guidance on searching and sharing content externally with clients.
  • Work with the Sales Enablement team to develop and execute a content strategy that supports Distribution goals and activations, national accounts engagements, corporate sponsorships, and national events.
  • Generate regular reports on content usage and user engagement to share with Distribution leadership.

Distribution initiatives:

  • Partner with the Retail Distribution team to deliver consistent regional initiatives experience nationally.
  • Ownership of speaker leverage schedule coordination, content facilitation, & activation
  • Act as a liaison to the Distribution Leadership team for facilitation of various internal events (i.e. Regional Team meetings, National Sales Conference, etc.)
  • Facilitate the coordination and delivery of multiple regional events (i.e. webinars, practice management events, etc.)
  • Act as a liaison to the territories to ensure timely invitations, attendance, post activation and reporting.
  • Work with various internal partners to automate process on behalf of the Distribution team.
  • Take ownership of the intake for the speaker request process.

What you need to succeed?

  • Previous experience in Sales Enablement 
  • Experience with Seismic
  • Previous experience in Sales &/or Event Management
  • Content management experience
  • University Degree or equivalent
  • 4 years of Sales Enablement experience, preferably within the mutual fund industry
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (i.e. Excel, Word & Outlook)
  • Knowledge of Mutual Fund industry
  • Customer and results focused: ability to work with various stakeholders to understand and act based on their needs, assess risks, and achieve a valued result.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritise, organize and manage competing demands.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted.  It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors.  In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.  Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
