Position Overview:

The Senior Accountant of Financial Reporting & Consolidations will be responsible for assisting with the coordination and preparation of the global accounting consolidation and financial reporting of the company, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP requirements. This includes assisting in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, preparing supporting schedules and footnote disclosures, and internal and external reporting packages. This role will collaborate with various internal partners, such as the corporate accounting team, fund accounting team and corporate finance team.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist in the consolidation process, including the recording of consolidating elimination entries and reconciliation of intercompany accounts
  • Assist in the monthly, quarterly and annual global close process, coordinating with various U.S. and international accounting team members
  • Coordination of quarterly and annual reporting packages and related information from U.S. and international teams necessary for preparing the financial statements and other reporting deliverables
  • Assist in the preparation of internal and external reporting packages, including Form 10-Q’s and Form 10-K’s for SEC filings and other regulatory filings
  • Participate in quarterly reviews and annual audits conducted by external auditors and serve as a key contact coordinating deliverables and resolving inquiries
  • Prepare journal entries, reconciliations and supporting schedules for equity-based compensation accounting
  • Maintain high quality supporting schedules and other documentation for compliance with internal controls, and work with internal and external auditors as necessary for testing of controls
  • Participate in process improvements as part of continuous company-wide improvement initiatives
  • Identify, research and evaluate variances or discrepancies and follow-through to resolution
  • Assist with research and documentation of technical accounting matters, including complex transactions, revenue recognition, acquisition accounting, lease accounting, etc.
  • Manage special projects and other reporting needs as required

Qualifications:

  • Three to five years of progressive accounting and/or finance experience
  • BS/BA degree in Accounting and/or Finance
  • Active CPA, or working towards CPA eligibility
  • Big 4 accounting firm experience preferred

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong working knowledge of accounting/financial concepts, techniques and U.S. GAAP
  • Consolidation experience, or other relevant experience for a global organization with foreign locations and foreign currencies
  • Organized, accurate and has good attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • SEC reporting experience
  • Timely responsiveness and ability to work regular work hours with expanded hours during quarter and year-end
  • Focus on continual development, performance, accountability and self-motivation
  • Highly proficient in using Microsoft office products
  • NetSuite accounting software experience preferred
  • Equity-based compensation accounting a plus
